When people told me "trust your gut", instead of doing the right thing, I made all the wrong decisions.
I allowed people into my space that only had their best interests in mind. I thought I was following my heart, but clearly I disregarded all the red flags.
I didn't even know what trusting your gut meant, because I would be looking for a gnawing feeling in my stomach - which I felt most of the time anyhow. I had no idea how to understand what it was trying to tell me.
As I started increasing in consciousness, I also started becoming more aware of cues my body made in response to thoughts I was having. I started to notice how instantly my body reacted to positive or negative thoughts. But I still didn't know if I could trust those thoughts.
